ISAAC NEWTON SIR ISAAC NEWTON Isaac Newton was born on 4 January 1643 at Woolsthorpe-by-Closeterworth, a hamlet in the country of Lincolnshire. At the time of Newton's birth, England had not adopted the latest papal calendar and therefore his date of birth was recorded as Christmas Day, 25 December 1642. Newton was born three months after the death of his father. Born peramaturely, he was small child; his mother Hannah Ayscough reportedly said that he could have fit inside a quart mug. When Newton was three, his mother remarried and went to live with her new husband, the Reverend Barnabus Smith, leaving her son in the care of his maternal grandfather, Margery Ayscough. THOMSON Joseph John Thomson was born in Cheetham Hill, a sub rub of enrolled at Owens Collage, Manchester, in 1870, and in 1876 entered Trinity Collage, Cambridge as a minor scholar. He become a fellow of Trinity collage in 1880, when he was Second wrangler and second smith's Prizeman, and he remained a member of the collage for the rest of his life, becoming lecture in 1883 and master in 1918. ARCHIMEDES   ARCHIMEDES Born in 287 B.C. in Syracuse, Greece Archimedes is considered one of the greatest mathematicians of all time. He is also famed for his invention and for the colorful ways he is believed to have made them. Little is known about Archimedes's life. He was the son of an astronomer (someone who studies outer space, such as the stars) named Phidias. He may also have been related to Hieron, King have been of Syracuse, and his son Gelon. Archimedes studied in the learning capital of Alexandria, Egypt, at the school that had been established by the Greek mathematician Euclid (third century B.C.E.) . ALBERT EINSTEIN STORY   Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Wurttemberg, Germeny, on march 14, 1879. Six weeks later the faimily moved to Munich, Where he later on began his scolling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued hid education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901, the year he gained his diploma, he acquired Swiss citizenship and, as he was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as technical assistant Office. In 1905, he obtained his doctor's degree.
